Things A Bright Girl Can Do
Things A Bright Girl can do is an interesting book about Votes for Women an prejudice against the LGBTQ+ community. It was eye-opening to read a book with strong characters with very contrasting backgrounds. It also discusses the pressure men felt to sign up for the war.
I enjoyed the book but I sometimes felt that the focus on the relationship between May and Nell was overpowering the main message of the voting system.
Overall it was an engaging book that was historical yet entertaining.
