Bone Talk

I think that bone talk is a very original book. I love the way the author has presented the characters as very naive. It gives us an insight to what life might have been like in the 19th century in the highlands of the Philippines. All the characters possess individual traits and qualities which made the book very enjoyable to read. The story really sprung to life and when reading I could really envision the scenes. I felt all the emotions Samkad felt: resentment, vulnerability , confusion and bereavement. I really sympathised with my favourite character, little Luki. I loved the feistiness of her personality. Overall this is a really good, amusing , quick read that will bring a smile to your face.
