The Land of Neverendings

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was packed full of wonder and imagination and contained real emotion. The book mainly follows a young girl called Emily and an older lady called Ruth. Emily’s sister Holly had sadly passed away a year ago and Ruth’s son Danny had also died a couple of years ago. The story tells how they discover an imaginary land called Smockeroon where the toys of children in the real world (called the “hard world”) live and have adventures. However, in Smockeroon something terrible was happening! Despite Smockeroon being a happy place where nothing could ever go wrong, sadness was invading and things were beginning to change for the worse. It’s now up to Emily, Ruth and Emily’s two friends Maze and Martha to save the day...
I really enjoyed this book, it was easy to read and had a fun plot. I would give it 8/10 and would recommend it to anybody over the age of 9.
