Drashti, Xenial Readers of Rushey Mead
The Poet X
From past experiences of reading books, this is the first time a book of this genre has ever made me tear up this much. With two different perspectives on true happiness and freedom it opened my eyes to the fact that not everything is as easy as it seems and keeping others happy doesn't necessarily keep yourself happy. Personally, I think the author has done a great job at portraying one's feelings through Xiomara along with balancing out how others feel of her as a person. Overall I think this is a good book as it teaches many morals and shows how teenagers feel against the words of society.
