Rebound is an incredible novel, that truly highlights an accurate representation of grief after a tragic loss. The main character, Charlie Bell, finds a way to help to disguise his inner suffering for the loss of his father by discovering and playing basketball- a sport he previously overlooked.
After his bad behavior and constant acts of getting into trouble continues, his mother makes to the decision to send him away to his grandparents, where he would stay the whole holidays in an attempt to resolve his behavior.
The whole incredible piece of literature encapsulates the true meaning of love and finding yourself again. In addition to this the unique style of which paragraphs are displayed as poems portrays a different perspective on Charlie's emotions and feelings through the structure of writing. Despite the novel having a running theme of basketball, it doesn't overpower the true definition behind this important and stunning story.
