Long Way Down

This book is about a 15 year old boy called William whose brother, Shawn is murdered. It is set in an elevator in William's block of flats. At the beginning William decided to follow the rules after Shawn's death. The rules are: 'if someone you love gets killed, find the person who killed them and kill them. No crying. No snitching. Get revenge.' In the elevator with his brother's gun William meets lots of old faces and learns stories he wished he'd never heard.
I think this book is quite good although it is short and slightly boring. It is very interesting as it shows how people are foolish and always try to do what other people who are older and bigger do or tell them to so if they want to become part of a group or avenge someone they love, even if it involves hurting or killing other people. I rate it 4 stars.
