Samuel, Forest Hill School Yr8s
When Charlie Bell gets into trouble one too many times he's sent to stay with his grandparents for the summer, where he bonds with his cousin Roxie through Basketball, which helps him recover from the depression he was sent into after the death of his father. The way the book is written (poem style) compliments Charlie's character and the way in which he expresses the events. Excluding Charlie and his grandfather, the characters aren't anything amazing, but the way Charlie's struggle is portrayed is very well done. The book can move much too quickly at times, but overall it's a very good book and one I would recommend.
