Nelly, MCS Biccies n' Books
This book told a really inspiring story of how grief can affect the way that we think and act. I found the use of verse really engaging as the writer changed the style of poem frequently throughout the book from Q+A to conversation. On the other hand, the writer occasionally presents us with three way converstions which can be confusing as there are only two font styles-normal and itallics. My favourite moment in the book is when Charlie has been at his grandparents house for a while and he has to get up very early in the morning because the author uses really good imagery to describe the smells in the kitchen which made me drool. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to any keen readers as it is very engaging and includes lovely writing styles.
