The Land of Neverendings

The Land Of Neverendings is a peculiar fiction story about an eleven-year-old girl, called Emily. After the death of her disabled sister Holly and the betrayal of her best friend Maze, her life completely changes and unusual things begin to happen to her.

This book has a very different concept that has never been seen before and the author has complete control over the plot; making us feel different emotions at correct times and developing characters in a steady manner. The mood set at the beginning of the book is depressing, this is because everything seems to go wrong for Emily; we feel sorry for her and start to like her as a result of this. However, things begin to change in the middle of the book. The story was unpredictable, which made me read on. You never know what would happen next! The character development was not forced, but well thought-out, and certain characters began to uncover their past and their current worries. This seemed to create an intimate relationship between the characters and the reader, showing how the language used by the writer, can make us feel towards certain characters in the book.

Personally, I enjoyed this book a lot for its incredible, childish-like story and would recommend it to anybody, purely for the overall uniqueness of the book.
