The Land of Neverendings

This was such an exciting book, so busy so that I don't know how to describe it without giving any spoilers. By the front cover and title, you might expect this book to be for younger readers but this is not the case. Despite the fantasy genre, there are some really deep messages hidden in here as it follows the journey of a young girl coping with grief. Emily's world is turned upside down when her beloved disabled sister Holly dies. To keep all her memories safe, Emily makes notes in her journal of everything she remembers about Holly and Holly's beloved toy Bluey, who was cremated along with her. Emily is determined to bring Holly and Bluey back, even if it is through her imagination.
