Things A Bright Girl Can Do

Things a bright girl can do is a fantastic and heartening novel all about the story of the battle for equality fought buy the suffragettes and the rollercoaster of a relationship between May and Nell, two very different girls, one fighting for the war and one fighting against it.
As this story continues another crosses its path. Evelyn, a young girl, quite unsure of herself, finds herself wrapped up in the war between the suffragettes and parliament. She gets taken to court and if things couldn't get any worse she winds up in prison, traumatised, dazed and very ill. After things had settled another storm was whipped when Teddy, her everlasting sweet heart, asks her to marry her and is immediately sent of to war.
Things carry on throughout the book: hearts break and tears are shed but that ultimately adds to the depth to book.
Overall I found this a fantastic book to read but the only thing that lets it down is how abruptly it ends. It would have been nice for us to know what happens to the characters in the future.
