The Poet X
A truly captivating read, the central protagonist Xiomara is presented as a person who is somewhat ignored, and dismissed by her parents. Throughout the book, she has her own personal rebellion against her family, and their religious customs. She wants freedom, freedom to do what she wants, be what she wants, and like who she wants to. In conclusion this is a great read, and I think the message is to not let anybody determine who you are, as you are the only person who knows what you want to be.
