Long Way Down

'Long Way Down' is an emotional book that i highly recommend. Firstly the front cover is really good and looks quite dramatic. The title'Long Way Down' also relates to the book quite well as most of the action happens in a lift which obviously goes up and down. The book is aimed at secondary children like me but i think it should be for older people because it swears a bit and it is quite a powerful book. It is very exciting and is an important topic now in america (gun violence). It is also really touching and emotional because its about loss of life and killing which is quite sad especially since its about a whole family and how several of their family members had been killed. The language in the book is quite informal and some of it is slang so it relates to young children. The book is written in poetry form and the words are spaced out on the pages which sometimes describes what is happening in the book. Over all, I think this book is very good, and is one of the best I have ever read.
