Dan, Danesfield Church of England School
The Land of Neverendings
I love this author - all of her books are very adventurous and enjoyable.
The Land of Neverendings is no exception. When Emily's sister, Holly dies, she is grief stricken but tries to reconnect with her through Bluey, her sister's beloved teddy. As she starts, toys come to life which she recognises from when she used to play with them. With her friend Ruth, who is also seeing these talking toys after the death of her son, Danny, she tries to enter the land Smockeroon. But, she has to put up with school, which is unbearable since breaking friends with Maze.
Despite the sad themes, there are funny elements to this book. I really enjoyed it.
