Ciara, Backwell School

The Land of Neverendings

This book is about a girl called Emily. Her sister, Holly, has just died. Emily is mourning for her, and Bluey, Holly's teddy bear. I just don't like this book. Personally, I don't understand this book. I don't know why Emily seems more sad about a teddy bear than her sister's death. It made me frustrated, and really dislike Emily, who is supposedly the hero of the story. I know it has a strong element of fantasy, but I'd have liked to have more relatable characters! It is also way too easy to vanquish the villain and that made me feel that the whole run up was entirely pointless. But parts were very touching, and I while I personally didn't like this book, it was very well written.
