Things A Bright Girl Can Do
I began reading this book with strong opinions on the themes of suffrage and women's rights. I was intrigued by the level of detail contained within the substantial novel. The story follows the lives of three young women, Evelyn, May and Nell. All three stories are heartfelt and personal. Evelyn's story is not as engaging, but it is the most informative. It is the innocent romance between May and Nell that is the true masterpiece. Their story is told with rich emotion and an honest and heartbreaking scrutinization of the faults of society.
