A Skinful of Shadows
This was an odd book. It started strange, and isn't the best at drawing you in. I didn't particularly like the start as it had no relevance to the rest of the story and just provided a start so I think that could've been done a bit better but other than that I don't really have any complaints about it. It created an interesting world filled with strange mystical powers and contained a surprisingly large amount of worldbuilding for what was going on with the country at the time. I didn't do a fact check on the movements of the armies but it did a good job at creating a clear mental picture of how the war was playing out. Overall I enjoyed the book and was glad I read it to the end.
