I love this book it is definitely one of my favourite of the Carnegie shortlist titles. The House with Chicken Legs in the book has a personality which is very unique and unexpected when you first pick up this book. This book is gripping and unpredictable. “The House with Chicken Legs” brings a roller coaster of emotions from happy to sad. It is loosely based on a Russian folk tale which is interesting and it’s a much better version of Baba Yaga in my eyes. This is a must-read book.
