Abi, St Helen and St Katharine
Bone talk is about a young boy who wants to become a man. He is desperate to be powerful and strong with his own weapons like his father and friends and will do anything to prove he is worthy of becoming like them. However when the time comes a problem is uncovered. Samkards best friend is desperate to become a man and be a warrior too but she is a girl and girls have the job of harvesting rice and are forbidden to hunt or fight. Things will change forever as they meet new friends and discover new enemies. I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down. It was an adventure book which is similar to some of the books I generally read but It was a slightly different type of adventure which made it an amazing book. I really liked the idea of the plot for this book and it a fitted together making it a enjoyable read. This book had great characters and one of my favourites was the best friend of the main character because she was always acting boisterous and unlike a typical stereotype of a girl which I like. I also liked the father because he set out on a journey and never gave up which shows hope courage and determination. I would recommend this book to readers of an age between 8/14 because it is a fairly easy but exiting read and is full of adventure. I would also rate this book 10/10 because it is an all rounder and is very interesting and I couldn’t put it down.
