Things A Bright Girl Can Do

'Things a bright girl can do' is an amazing book that not only shows what a bright girl can do but also gives you a slice of history and how difficult it was to be who you wanted to be. This book is based around the suffragettes and whilst the war is on, equality is even more important for girls and women. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the period when the suffragettes were fighting for their rights and to see how being different was frowned upon. Sally Nicholls portrayed the characters of Evelyn, May and Nell well and I liked how they all came from different backgrounds but were all interested in the same thing. This book shows how important equality is how different things are now than they were. I really enjoyed this book to not only educate myself but to see the struggles of the 20th century through different people's eyes.
