Ileen, King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls
The House with Chicken Legs
The plot is very well-constructed and teaches the reader about grief and loss. It is definitely aimed at younger people, but it was still very enjoyable. The plot is set out logically and does have a slight flow.
The character of Marinka is a credible protagonist and you go on a jouney with her as you read. She is flawed but special.
The style is typical but still enjoyable.
