Rani, Xenial Readers of Rushey Mead

The House with Chicken Legs

The House with Chicken Legs is a fascinating book.
In this book the main girl in this story is a girl called Manrika and all that she wants is to be a normal girl and not the next Yaga. A Yaga leads people that have just passed to go to the afterlife. However Manrika thinks that she is cursed and she wants a normal life.
However the house is based on a Slavic myth , which states that the house has legs and moves every once in a while so Manrika doesn't have a place to call home because she is always moving all around the world.
Sophie Anderson adds a really great atmosphere that would want to make you keep reading. This book is so complex and keeps adding different twists and turns every chapter.
I would highly recommend this book for higher ability readers.
