The House with Chicken Legs

I actually quite enjoyed 'The House with Chicken Legs'. It was very young, very childish, so much so I would recommend this book to children ages 7-10. I don't think it was award-winning level, as the writing was very simple with not a lot of complex vocabulary, but I still enjoyed reading it. I wish the story had been presented in picture-book form, I think the illustrations could've been improved. I liked the style, the characters, the locations, and how the plot thread with Benjamin was picked up at the end. Overall, it was a heart-warming book about destiny and acceptance and making mistakes. I also liked how there was a glossary at the end of the book, I wish all books had a glossary of cultural terms on the very last page.
