Giovanni, St Augustines Catholic College

Long Way Down

Long way down was an interestingly laid out book in more ways than one. The words were often scattered about the pages to great effect in some cases. It also almost all happened in a single elevator. In this elevator the protagonist is considering killing the person who killed his friend as that's the 'rules.' In the elevator he is confronted by ghosts of people who talk to him and are like his memories or conscience. The ending of the book is purposefully cut off. I quite liked it for what it was but I prefer more of a story and changes of scenery and plot twists etc.
